@Mattches
please fix this it’s been more than a month
We’re not ignoring anything, any updates will occur on the official Github ticket.
Just to put it into perspective;
- Its only limited to Android, works fine on desktop.
- Its just the one website
- Doesn’t stop video playback on the site. manually close the popup when it occurs.
- Optionally using a different video mirror.
There are basic workarounds, we’re not saying its not important. But we’ll address when we can.
We work very hard to try and resolve as many issues we can for as many sites as we can but sometimes a fix will take a while. What would be “unprofessional” is to pull our developers off of other high priority issues and/or projects in order to resolve a non-urgent convoluted issue, that only occurs on one platform, that has a workaround (meaning that the site is not completely broken and can still be used) on a [relatively] niche website.
As said above, we do care and we do want to get this, among issues with many other sites, resolved so our users can enjoy a safe, private and annoyance free browsing experience but it may take a while to get to each of them. We appreciate your patience in the meantime.
It looks like you’re dealing with pop-ups and intrusive ads on Toonstream while using the Brave browser. Since you’ve confirmed the issue appears even with Brave’s Shields on and in private browsing mode, it’s possible that Toonstream uses aggressive ad methods that bypass the typical block features in Brave.
Here are a few things you can try:
- Update Brave: Ensure that your Brave browser is up-to-date, as updates may include improved ad-blocking features.
- Try a Different Ad Blocker: You can install additional ad-blocking extensions like uBlock Origin to complement Brave’s native blocking and potentially catch more ads.
- Report the Issue to Brave: If the ads are particularly intrusive, you can file a bug report with Brave, as they may be able to improve their shielding against these specific ad methods.
On a lighter note, if you’re in need of a snack while troubleshooting, take a break and check out the jack in the box menu prices for something tasty!
Any update. @Mattches
i can use brave app to block ads on congtogel.app
I’m really disappointed with Brave’s support and have decided to switch to Edge browser on Android, as it now supports extensions. I know Edge browser extension support is still in beta, but I’d rather have a high-quality feature in beta than a poorly maintained one in a so-called stable release like Brave. Edge now lets me install uBlock for better ad blocking, and it’s frustrating that this issue has been ignored for over three months. Hopefully, Edge provides a much better experience.
