Brave 1.93.129, Windows. On closing Brave, brave.exe processes would go to “Background processes” in Task Manager and hang — no new Brave window would open until I killed them manually.
Found Code Cache\js in my profile had ~250k files / ~200GB. Deleted it manually with PowerShell. Hang stopped, and now Code Cache\js gets cleared automatically every time Brave closes (my “Delete data on exit → Cached images and files” setting was already on, but wasn’t reaching Code Cache before).
Questions: Is there a known issue where an oversized Code Cache causes the on-exit cleanup to hang? And now that it’s clearing, will it stay that way or can it balloon again?
