Brave crashes consistently shortly after opening

Description of the issue:
I just installed and started using Brave on macOS 10.15.6 (as well as iOS and iPadOS). It works fine on iOS and iPadOS, however, it crashes consistently sometime between 5 and 60 seconds. It will crash even if I just open it and don’t do anything else (in the foreground or the background).

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Simply by re-opening Brave. No other action is needed.

Expected result:
I’m hoping I can get it to stop crashing.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.11.104 Chromium: 84.0.4147.105 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
When I installed it, I imported bookmarks, etc. from Safari, turned on Sync, and installed the 1Password extension.

To troubleshoot, I have tried resetting settings, it continues.

I have turned on automatic sending of crash reports.

Turn off sync… It’s known to crash brave, one reason brave sync was disabled until v2 sync arraives…
