Brave browser icon is corrupted

Description of the issue:
the icon of the brave browser app is corrupted and does not render on rockylinux 10
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. has a fresh rockylinux 10 installation
  2. install brave using https://brave.com/linux/#fedora-41-rockyrhel
  3. during installation it will give EOF error for some png file (which i guess is the brave app icon)
  4. check the app icon as follow

Expected result:
it should show the icon of the app
Brave Version( check About Brave):
Brave 1.80.113 (Official Build) (64-bit)

just wanted to confirm it still issue for version

I’m having the exact same problem. I noticed that the name of the application in the “Brave Browser” applications list is different from the one displayed in the dock. On Debian, there is no such problem.

there a work around for it

so the issue on the os side not brave issue
