Description of the issue:
the icon of the brave browser app is corrupted and does not render on rockylinux 10
How can this issue be reproduced?
has a fresh rockylinux 10 installation
install brave using https://brave.com/linux/#fedora-41-rockyrhel
during installation it will give EOF error for some png file (which i guess is the brave app icon)
check the app icon as follow
brave icon on right
Expected result:
it should show the icon of the app
Brave Version( check About Brave):
Brave 1.80.113 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I’m having the exact same problem. I noticed that the name of the application in the “Brave Browser” applications list is different from the one displayed in the dock. On Debian, there is no such problem.

I found a solution/workaround for this one, I believe it’s a bug. I installed google-chrome on a rocky9 vm since I noticed that when installing the rpm version on rl10, the icons are not populated under /usr/share/icons/hicolor so I manually...
so the issue on the os side not brave issue
