Brave Browser displays as "Google Chrome" in active sessions list

Description

When logging into platforms like Facebook, Google, or WhatsApp Web using Brave Browser, the connected devices/active sessions list identifies the browser as Google Chrome instead of Brave.

In contrast, other Chromium-based browsers like Microsoft Edge correctly identify themselves as Microsoft Edge on these same platforms.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Brave Browser.
  2. Log into an account on Facebook, Google, or WhatsApp Web.
  3. Check the active sessions / logged-in devices list in the security settings of that account.

Expected Result

The session/device list should display Brave as the active browser.

Actual Result

The active session is listed as Google Chrome.

I can see why this would be confusing. If I saw “Google Chrome” in my active sessions, I’d probably wonder whether it was actually one of my Brave sessions too. It would be much clearer if Brave showed up as Brave, especially when you’re checking your account for anything suspicious.

I’m curious whether this is just how Brave is currently identifying itself to these sites, or if it’s something that could be changed in a future update.
