Brave Beta iOS hangs

Brave iOS often will not load a page. This typically happens after the website has loaded and works fine. Then suddenly filling out a form and submitting, or coming back to a page after putting the phone down for a while, it hangs. Same behavior as if the website has high traffic and is being unresponsive. Which is what thought for the past few weeks. But I’m realizing there’s no way all of these websites are slow or unresponsive all the time.
