Is there a blogspot.com plugin that works like the word press one in the works yet?
No plan fo Blogspot plugin, AFAIK. cc @chriscat @luke.mulks.
But if you have custom domain, then you can try DNS record method for now. 
Are you suggesting the DNS record will work with blogspot?
@AnimaterCreator if you have a custom domain yourdomain.com then DNS Record method should work. I help another publisher in the past and it’s work.
