Background whiting out on my local area network page (Dark Mode)

I Have been using brave to browse recipes on my NAS hard drive for years and the Brave browser just started doing a white background washing out all my text so I can’t read it. The same problem used to happen on some web site chat sessions, but now that has gone away, so maybe whatever fixed that caused this? Any ideas how I can fix it without turning off Dark mode? I think it may be tied to dark mode. Thanks!

It hasn’t gone and chatting is invisible in all modes see link https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/BLK/community/

Please edit your Original Post (“OP”) above, in order to include:

I am using Brave Browser v1.88.134 (MacOS 14.8.4 Sonoma). Brave Shields UP, except JavaScript Allowed and cookies Allowed (except 3rd party) for yahoo.com and finance.yahoo.com.

Browser theme Light/Dark/Device mode is set to Device. Tested both “Normal”/“Standard” window and Private window, visiting your link:

No issues viewing the Yahoo Finance webpage - including the comments.

Well theres a feature callee “Force Dark Mode”, it makes everything dark no matter if the web page supports it - if you are using it - its likely the reason that its not optimized well yet.

Otherwise possibly i gotta dig deeper into info.

I have suspension this feature is only available on Brave Beta and Nightly.
