Brave search has a setting which you can use to open links in new tabs. The tabs are activated immediately.
I just hate when I click on the sidebar link and it overwrites an existing tab. So annoying and unnecessary.
In comments in this thread and others, I’ve noted - with citations - the inherent risk associated with installing extensions in a Chromium-based browser. Brave is a Chromium-based browser. And “Tabs to the Front” is an extension that may have been “Good” … but has gone bad
All is not lost. Consider installing either
NOTE: “Tabs to the Front” ≠ “Tabs to Front v2 (2.2)” - the option I suggested.
A better alternative: Brave should revert to - as it used to do - offering as an option opening links or bookmarks in new tabs. This is an option that’s available in Vivaldi (another Chromium-based browser) or Firefox.
Bummer. i really want an option to set so that when a new tab is opened it is switched to immediately. i can not believe i am forced to install an extension to get this functionality…extensions are risky. firefox has this option. i sure wish brave would add this option. it is so Frustrating that i had take this time to write this msg.
