Every time Brave updates to a new version, the automatic picture-in-picture gets reenabled, even though I had it disabled before the update. The option is still disabled in settings, but I keep getting the auto pip.
The only way to fix this is selecting “Sites can enter picture-in-picture automatically” and then going back to “Don’t allow sites to enter picture-in-picture automatically”. Then, after restarting the browser, it works the way intended.
I’ve been getting the same issue for the last 2 or 3 updates.
