Why after updating and re-launching does Brave think to be so smart that it decides to change my search engine preference (back to Brave), tamper with my menu bar, and change how my pinned tabs work.
I didn’t ask you to, nor will I ask you to. I changed those settings, leave them alone. If I wanted an ever revolving changing of settings and to be forever pushed to use a specific search engine by the infinite wisdom of some dumb as dumb AI bot, then I would be using Microsoft Edge with Bing and whatever joke is copilot.
Seriously, show some respect to the people who are already using your product. Show some respect that people may have different preferences and changed your default settings.
Outside of actual bugs that occur (and eventually get fixed), this doesn’t happen. That is, unless we’ve actually made some design change, your settings and preferences are unaltered across updates. I’m not even sure what exactly the issues you’re seeing are because you didn’t describe them in any detail.
- You search engine preferences persist across updates and we haven’t made any changes to the way this setting works recently.
- I do not know what you mean by “tamper with your menu bar”.
- Pinned tabs behavior hasn’t changed
If you want to actually report these issues – that is, provide actual explanations/details about what you’re seeing – so that we can take a look and, if they are in fact happening, make sure they get resolved please do so.
