Annoying redirect to click.linksynergy.com

Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. When I type codecademy.com at the address bar, I am automatically redirected to https://click.linksynergy.com/deeplink?id=6NsLdSFTBRU&mid=44188&murl=https://www.codecademy.com/&LSNSUBSITE=TEST
  2. Then I see the page displays “bad merchant”.

Expected result:

I don’t want any redirection, I just want to access codacademy.com directly.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.17.73 Chromium: 87.0.4280.67 (Official Build) (64-bit)
OS: Fedora 32 64 bit

Additional Information:
I tried to remove all extensions - but the result is the same, I am always redirected. Also, I tried to install ClamAV antivirus for Linux, and checked my system - there are no viruses. Can you please help me?

I can visit the page using brave.

What happens if you try to visit code academy in a different browser?

In other browser - it’s ok(no redirection). I tried Opera and Firefox. But, I want Brave browser - because it’s the best one.

I notice you have A LOT of Add-Ons. You should disable them all and re-enable them one by one until you found the malicious one - and than instantly uninstall + report it and change your passwords - If the Add-On has the permission to redirect you it probably can read every password you type/autofill

It works here. (Brave 1.18.70 on Windows 10)

There is possibly a program/extension doing this, I would start by checking Brave in private window mode to see if there is any redirection.

I removed these extensions and now, everything is fine. Don’t know which one of them actually caused the problem, but here is the list:
Webflow Chrome Extension
WhatFont
Zoom Recording / Video Downloader
Simple Allow Copy
Tab Suspender (memory saver)
ColorZilla
PDF Viewer
Pinterest Save Button
