Good Morning, the reason i use and pay for Brave is, because i dont want to read this :wink:

i cannot click it away, it appears when i want to enable sync. so i am not able to enter it manually, error pops up again. ig uess it tries to activate the camera on my GrapheneOS. so its seems to be a UI Bug.

Android 17 Build CP2A.260605.012 (Graphene OS)

@calixt

Please edit your Original Post (“OP”) above, in order to include:

  • Brave Browser version numbers
  • Complete Android mobile device description

You might try one quick check before assuming Sync itself is broken: in GrapheneOS, open Settings > Apps > Brave > Permissions and temporarily allow Camera, then reopen Brave Sync and see if the QR scanner screen lets you choose or enter the sync code manually. If it still loops on that error, the info 289wk asked for is probably the right next step, especially the exact Brave version and GrapheneOS/Android version.

@calixt

Android 17 build CP2A.260605.012 is an official Google Pixel (Pixel 10 Pro/Pro XL) stable release, not a GrapheneOS build.

Key Details:

  • Build ID: CP2A.260605.012 corresponds to the June 16, 2026 Android 17 stable release for Pixel devices.

  • GrapheneOS: The GrapheneOS build rebased on this Android 17 release is identified as 2026061800, which includes a workaround for an upstream sideloading bug.

  • Device: CP2A is the build prefix for Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL.

@calixt additionally,

Are you saying you’re running Brave version 1.49.178 here? If so then updating is the very first thing I would do as that’s about 50 releases behind.

i donwloaded and installed it TODAY :wink:

but since it cahnged to 1,91,178

And you have Google Play/Service installed on your device?

Hi, no i have not. But i would be satisfied, if i could click the Mesage away (but it sticks and always pops up again) and enter the Code Manually :wink:
