After updating Brave to 1.93 on iPhone, the large ↑ ↓ ✓ keyboard navigation bar appears while typing. Is there any way to disable it?”

Description of the issue:

After updating Brave on my iPhone to version 1.93, a large keyboard accessory/navigation bar appears above the keyboard when typing in certain text fields or search boxes. The bar contains an up arrow, down arrow, and a tick/checkmark (↑ ↓ ✓).

This is annoying because it takes up additional screen space and was not something I noticed before the recent Brave update. It does not appear in every app, but I am experiencing it while using Brave.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open Brave on an iPhone.
  2. Tap on a search box or text input field on a webpage.
  3. The iOS keyboard opens.
  4. A large bar containing ↑ ↓ ✓ appears above the keyboard.

Expected result:

The keyboard should appear without the large ↑ ↓ ✓ navigation bar, or Brave should provide an option to disable/hide this bar.

iPhone 13
iOS 26.6

Additional Information:

Hover Typing is already turned off in Settings → Accessibility → Keyboards, so that setting does not resolve the issue.

The issue appears to have started after updating Brave to version 1.93. I have attached a screenshot showing the ↑ ↓ ✓ bar above the keyboard.

Hi, the keyboard accessory you’re referring to is the system default and is not new in 1.93. The latest Brave release supports Liquid Glass on iOS 26+ devices (Apple is forcing this adoption later this year) and the new toolbar is slightly taller than the prior design. There is currently no way to disable this

This usually comes up in some textbox elements not all, is there a specific reason to it?
