"Ads not yet available" -- but I'm in the US! :-)

I’m in the US but Brave is saying “Sorry! Ads are not yet available in your region.”

Any help on why this might be? Thanks.

Also, I have checked the “Region” setting on Windows 10 and it says the US. I do not have a VPN enabled either. When I go to any IP checking service on the web, it says my IP is in the US too.

What’s particularly strange here is if I create another Brave profile (on the same machine) it DOES give me the option to turn on Brave Rewards. But on my main Brave profile it does not.
