Hi Brave team,
I’d love to see Brave for iOS support a feature similar to Safari’s “Share with Quote”, which allows users to:
• Select a piece of text on a webpage
• Open the Share Sheet
• Share a link including the selected quote, which is then highlighted when the recipient opens it in Safari
This is especially useful for:
• Sharing key parts of articles with context
• Quickly referencing a passage in messaging apps or notes
• Enhancing clarity when sending academic or journalistic links
Currently in Brave, we have to either manually copy the text, then the link, and paste both into another app, or (my workaround) use Safari for those cases. That’s doable, but not elegant — and defeats the point of quick sharing.
Is it technically feasible to integrate this via WebKit or Apple’s native Share APIs?
Would love to see this added!
