Add a direct toggle for enabling middle button autoscroll in browser settings

The way the middle-mouse button scrolling works on Windows obviously doesn’t “translate” the exact same way onto Linux, since that action has traditionally been reserved for pasting copied content by default.

However, this is 2025, and most folks moving to Linux from Windows would definitely appreciate a simple settings menu toggle, that’d allow them to change the behavior of this button press, rather than having to manually dig into the brave://flags/ menu, just for one, trivial to add, feature.

Such an important setting, fundamentally changing the way you interact with web pages, should not be hidden from the user as a supposedly “experimental flag feature”! I understand that Linux users have the opinion of “tech geeks” who should be able to handle such advanced tasks themselves, but this is ridiculous - especially during the increasingly widespread adoption Linux has seen over the past months.

Please consider this addition, as it is quite infuriating to enter the flags menu to enable a perfectly working feature, that should’ve been part of the Brave browser settings menu a long time ago!

Can you tell me what specific flag you’re referring to? Additionally, by default, does the middle-mouse button work the same way in other browsers as it does in Brave?

As for the other examples of this behavior, I’ve tested multiple Chromium and Gecko engine-based browsers, and have not found any options/flags to enable this behavior. All of them default to the Linux paste action, while only letting the user keep it as is, or disable it.

This is genuinely quite shocking for me to see, that Brave is yet again providing advantages over other browsers - and to take it a step further, for such an exclusive feature - making it available as a simple toggle in the settings tab for folks on Linux would be a huge help!
