@SpiceyAlpacaUprising first, love the user name. Second (more importantly), can you confirm whether ads are only showing on reddit? Are ads blocked normally on other sites?

lol thank you. I especially enjoy the fact that I misspelled “spicy” :joy:

I just checked Tumblr, Instagram, Facebook, and the usual websites full of annoying ads like recipe pages and news sites. It works on all of those. The issue does occasionally pop up on YouTube, but it resolves after a few refreshes or by opening a new page. Ads also seem to be mostly blocked on Reddit again today, though it still happens from time to time. When it does happen on Reddit, it seems harder to fix with a simple refresh or new page than it is on YouTube.

Thanks for confirming. Worth noting that there will be times where sites display ads for a bit before the our ad-blocker is updated which may be why they appear sometimes then go away again.

cc @fanboynz to take a closer look here. Also to confirm, you’re only seeing this issue on iOS?

Thanks for letting me know. The issue is that once the ads appear on Reddit, they persist indefinitely within that tab. Continuing to browse in the same tab does not clear them, they only disappear after closing the tab entirely and opening a new one. But there’s been a few times where this has not worked either.

This behaviour does not occur on YouTube, where an ad can be cleared majority of the time with a simple refresh in the same tab.

My experience is limited to iOS, yes. I have not tried other devices.
