I have noticed that recently the browser has been using too much memory, while regular tabs go up to 300mb, but I have had tabs reach 3GB, I have tried checking if there was some kind of acceleration or other possible features that I was unaware or that I could change to improve this but with no success
It’s getting to a point where I might have to stop using the browser because it’s just bad for my machine keep increasing the memory usage only for the browser. Right now I have 4 tabs open, the 3GB one was a Youtube live stream, the same also happens to regular videos
What I noticed and tested is that the longer I watch the video/stream the worse it gets and that tab will keep increasing its memory usage indefinitely. I have not managed to find a point where it will stop increasing the memory usage and all the fans on my laptop turn on after a while
Task Manager has at one point shown me 4GB being used by Brave that has over 20 tasks running, so I periodically close some tabs to reduce memory usage
I have to resort to use other browsers when using heavier programs such as Visual Studio and others
I’m currently using version 1.75.178
