Recently, Brave introduced the new tab design and UI on iOS.
Honestly, I like the new tab design, because it got bigger and easily to check its contents specifically on iphone.
However, I don’t like its UI.
For example, when switching from a private tab to a regular tab, I have to tap the tab overview button first, and then tap the button at the top.
I think that’s inefficient, especially when using an iPhone, which is often used in portrait orientation.
I think that the button for switching between private and regular tabs should be placed at the bottom of the screen when using the device in portrait mode.
In the case of the iPad, the button to show the tab overview is located at the top, so I don’t think the new UI is inefficient.
However, when displaying the tab overview on the iPad, the tabs seem too small for its display especially when using the device in landscape mode.
For what it’s worth to whoever sees it, I do like the new iOS Tab UI too and the comments by below people and this OP, not bad suggestions… good changes, minor tweaks could make it even better
one thing I might change about the Private Tab UI part is switching the Normal Tab and Private Tab buttons to the other side, previously Private Tabs would open to the LEFT, but the Private Tab button is to the RIGHT now of the Normal Tabs, so that’s one minor change I’d make but it’s not a big enough deal to me as I really don’t use Private Tabs anyway, just thought I might mention it for continuity sake.
I assume you’ve restarted your phone and done all the basic troubleshooting?
Not sure if it’s worth uninstalling and reinstalling the app and restarting your phone (I personally wouldn’t want to uninstall Brave and have to set Sync and everything back up again… though I suppose it’s good to clean it up every once and awhile)
