Hello Brave Team & Community!
I have a suggestion concerning Brave’s Release Notes…
TL;DR: Promote the Brave Help Center in Brave Release Notes, directing users there rather than Brave Community initially.
In every What’s New / Version History / Release Note on the iOS App Store (& I’d assume something similar on Google Play Store as well) the below message is posted:
Have questions, comments, or suggestions for future releases?
Visit the Brave Community (https://community.brave.com) to let us know.
And, as ever, thanks for using Brave!
This leads users (at least, it did for me) to think that the only place to find help and support for issues or information was the Brave Community. But, of course, it’s NOT the only source of information users can use, that Brave provides.
So my suggestion here is to have Brave modify their Release Notes on both of the App Stores (and maybe even on https://brave.com/latest/ , GitHub CHANGELOG’s, & Help Center and Resources > Release Notes Topics and/or wherever else Brave shares updates) and modifying it from the above
message to the below
message, as an example.
Need help or having issues with Brave?
Check out the Brave Help Center (https://support.brave.app/hc/en-us)
If you have any FURTHER questions, comments, or suggestions for future releases or issues,
Join us on the Brave Community (https://community.brave.com) to let us know.
And, as ever, thanks for using Brave!
Because putting in the users mind that the best starting point is the Brave Help Center, could help both parties save a lot of time and energy with already answered questions that often come to the Brave Community, making everyone/everthing more efficient.
So AFTER they first check out the Brave Help Center, if they STILL can’t find the answer to their question THEN they can use the Brave Community as a fallback and/or for further assistance.
Brave could even consider removing the Brave Community comment from the above Release Notes entirely and instead promote it more prominently on the Brave Help Center… but I doubt Brave would go that far, just a secondary thought though. (and I do know and see that the Community is already mentioned in the BHC).
Anyway, Thanks for your time & efforts as always!
