A bug I encountered while using YouTube on the Brave browser

Dear Brave Support Team,

I have been a loyal user of the Brave browser for the past six years. However, over the last three to four months, I have encountered a persistent issue while using YouTube on the mobile browser.

When playing a video in full-screen mode, the settings menu becomes unresponsive. As a result, I am unable to adjust the video resolution or exit full-screen mode when tapping the respective icons, as the interface does not register my input.

Despite updating the app regularly, the issue remains unresolved. For reference, I am experiencing this on a Realme device running Android 14.

Could you please investigate this bug and provide a fix in an upcoming update?

You could try clearing Brave’s site data for YouTube and then test the fullscreen player again. I’d also check whether the same issue happens in a Private Tab, as extensions or stored site data can sometimes interfere with YouTube’s controls.

Since you’re on Android 14, it may also be worth testing the same video in another browser on the device. If the controls work there, that would help confirm that the issue is specific to Brave.

If none of that helps, a short screen recording showing the fullscreen controls not responding would be useful when reporting the bug.
