9/10 Brave goes crashes/freezes when open Brave normally

Description of the issue:
When I open Brave no matter where from, Brave goes crush or freeze (even just a tap or swipe up can’t be done). It happens almost all the time like 9 times out of 10.

How can this issue be reproduced?

(All done with iPhone13 mini, iOS 18.3.1)

  1. Open Brave normally
  2. Open links with Brave from any other apps
  3. Change apps to Brave from background mode

Expected result:

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Mobile Device details
iPhone 13 mini
iOS 18.3.1
60GB used out of 128GB
Whether Wifi connected/mobile data doesn’t matter
Whether Battery mode / Charge mode doesn’t matter

Additional Information:
This is so frustrating that I quit using Brave.

Thank you for dealing with. I wanted to say so far so good but Brave still crushed when I tap a link in Apple Mail to move this page for replying you… :cry:

Anything new? Brave seems updated recently but this is still happening.

@steeven How’s going so far? still gone crush almost all the time. If this won’t be fixed for moment, Ima stop using Brave since it’s troublesome a lot.

Can’t believe you dealing with this cuz it’s already past 2weeks since I told you the version of app. You just keep saying you gonna check with team. I’m pissed.

If you keep doing this I quit using Brave cuz it’s broken forever. I already sent a review on App Store as 1 star BECAUSE OF YOU.

By the way, the latest iOS version is 18.3.2. That Apple iOS update includes a wee bit of a networking fix.

Hi @tomlife43, thanks for your follow up. I’ve yet to be able to re-produce the crash you’re experiencing, and our general crash rates are not indicating a wide spread issue. I’m genuinely sorry that this is still an ongoing issue for you. We have a new version being released in the next day or two, my hope is that this will address your issue.

Additionally, have you been able to update to 18.3.2?

Thank you. I know this isn’t widespread issue so I understood your priority. I’ve update it already and restart my iPhone but nothing solved yet.

I have no idea when and how this will be solved, but I’m tired of waiting tbh so you can end this conversation. Hope someday will be fixed somehow. Since then I’ll use Safari instead.
